On Tuesday, a new lawsuit involving 1,500 Haitians was brought before a federal court in Brooklyn against the United Nations in connection with an outbreak of cholera. This lawsuit seeks a compensation for cholera victims, the unding to ensure the supply of drinking water to Haiti and also asks the court to rule that the UN enjoys no immunity. This workshop is organized by the offices of UNESCO and the International Council of Museums (ICOM) in Haiti, brought together participants from diverse disciplinary profile, private and public actors of the culture and takes place in various locations including MUPANAH, Le Villate and the Museum of Haitian Art. Opening of 4 Treatment Centers of Acute Diarrhea On Thursday, the International Organization for Migration (IOM) will process to the inauguration ceremony of 4 Treatment Centers of Acute Diarrhea (CTDA) at the Hospital of the Estère. This project, funded by the Minustah and implemented by IOM, is part of capacity building of the Ministry of Health and the Health Department of Artibonite in the fight against cholera.
