0.3% of the applicants were able to complete an application for regularization
In the process ofregularization of foreign in the Dominican Republic, 31,000 people have already visited the offices to make their request. Problem ! Less than 100 persons in possession of all required documents have been able to complete their registration. Nearly 6,000 people had only some documents and the rest of the applicants had no document to present, revealed José Ramón Fadul, the Minister of the Interior and the Dominican police. Knowing that 97% of foreign applicants are of Haitian nationality, he urged the Haitian authorities to document and assist their nationals.

Over 1,000 solar streetlights
The Government Martelly-Lamothe, seeking to improve the quality of life of the Haitian people is installing more than 1,000 solar street lights within the 9 Special Plans underway across the country: Ile de la Tortue, Port-de-Paix, Terre Neuve, Gonaïves, Cite Soleil, La Gonâve, Ile a Vache, Bernagousse and Jérémie. 50,000 people, small traders, contractors, drivers, students and others, will directly benefit from this effort of installation of solar streetlights.

Second Centre Sport for Hope
A second center "Sport for Hope" (Sport pour l'espoir) will be launched in Haiti in July by the President of the International Olympic Committee (IOC) Thomas Bach and the Secretary General of the UN Ban Ki-moon.

Launch of several tourism products
Tuesday, Stéphanie Balmir Villedrouin, the Minister of Tourism and Creative Industries (MTIC) had a meeting with several tourist representatives including some members of the Tourist Association of Haiti (ATH), and officials of Group Atout France. This meeting was a pretext for launching several tourism products and discuss marketing strategies for these products in the North of Haiti.
