To celebrate International Women's Day, the MINUSTAH with UN Women and the Ministry of Women, organizes, Sunday, March 8, 2015 at 4:00 pm in the auditorium of the Salesian Sisters of Carrefour, (Institution Marie Regine), Road of Carrefour between Thor 14 and Cote Plage 16 ; a free concert featuring Haitian artists and international guests on the theme "GasonKoreFi". International guest artists: Orlane, Leila Chicot, Suzie Trébeau and Danielle René-Corail. Local artists invited : Misty Jean, Princess Eud, Jean Jean Roosevelt and BIC.
The Regional Office of the MEF, burglarized
The Regional Office of the Ministry of Economy and Finance in the South department was burglarized by armed men on the night of 3 to 4 March. The thugs took away money, checks as well as materials belonging to the institution. According to local police, which triggered a massive operation, about a dozen people have been arrested in this case.
Electoral calendar: Meeting with President Martelly
After having received of the Prime Minister Evans Paul, a copy of the Electoral Decree https://www.haitilibre.com/en/news-13316-haiti-elections-prime-minister-paul-handed-the-electoral-decree-to-the-cep.html , the Provisional Electoral Council (CEP) met with President Michel Martelly. It was for the CEP, to inform the Executive of the content of the electoral calendar and expose him the CEP requirements for the proper conduct of the electoral process. The proposed timetable will be presented to the parties, groups and alliances of political parties, Wednesday, March 11, 2015.
The radical opposition encouraged to join the electoral process

Award Ceremony at the SHAA
This week the Haitian Society for Aid to the Blind (SHAA) awarded a Certificate of Excellence to 12 blind and visually impaired youth who brilliantly succeeded the official examinations of the last cycle of the school years 2012-2013 and 2013-2014. The Award "Kéthia Althémany Sorel" rewards both the courage and determination of our young graduates experiencing blindness. The top three of the twelve received a laptop adapted to their disability. For these Award, the SHAA has received financial support of the Unibank, the SOGEBANK and the Office of the Secretary of State for the Integration of Persons with Disabilities (BSEIPH).
