iciHaiti - Economy : Certificates for laureates of Business Plan Competition LEAD

This Tuesday at 8:00 am at the Hotel Karibe, in the presence of the US Ambassador to Haiti, Pamela A. White, representatives of the Ministry of Finance and partner organizations, the Pan American Development Foundation (PADF) and the US Agency for International Development (USAID) proceeded to a ceremony of awarding certificates to the laureates companies of Business Plan Competition of the project "Leveraging Effective Application of Direct Investment" (LEAD). These winning companies have received, in addition to financial assistance, technical support to strengthen their capacity to manage and grow their operations.

Note that this project gives priority to industries and businesses that have the greatest potential in terms of job creation and promote the integration of women and the disabled. Thus, over 9,000 jobs have already been created in areas as diverse as agriculture, outsourcing, tourism, renewable energy, recycling of waste or manufacture of various products.

About Leveraging Effective Application of Direct Investments (LEAD) :
LEAD partnered with Haitian companies and US investors to strengthen local capacities of Haitian businesses. Since 2012, LEAD has awarded 28 grants to Haitian organizations, allowing them to expand their operations and increase employment.
