On Wednesday, October 28, 2026, as part of the return leg of the 2026 CONCACAF Caribbean Cup semi-finals, Violette AC will face the Jamaican club Portmore United FC at 7:00 p.m. (Haiti time) at Sabina Park in Kingston, Jamaica.

Despite a 3–1 loss in the first leg, Pythagore Dumas, the Minister of Youth and Sports, has reaffirmed his full confidence in the ability of the "Vieux Tigre" (Old Tiger) to qualify for the final.

"We must all come together to support the sole representative of Haitian football in this competition, which brings together the best clubs in the region," the Minister stated, noting that the Haitian government is working toward a future where our teams can host their matches within Haiti.

This initiative is part of a long-term vision to provide Haiti with sports infrastructure that meets international standards. It also reflects a commitment to creating the necessary conditions for both clubs and national teams to play their matches on home soil, in venues equipped to satisfy the requirements of regional and international competitions.

Minister Dumas points out that the support of our fellow citizens serves as an additional source of motivation for the players and the technical staff. In his view, this remontada will not be possible without the moral and emotional backing of the nation.

The Ministry is calling for a show of support on social media and for a massive turnout at the stadium, as any advancement by Violette AC would help Haiti shine on the regional stage.
