Wednesday in Santo Domingo, Claude Raymond Junior, the Director of Immigration in Haiti met his Dominican counterpart, Major-General Rubén Darío Paulino Sem.

After a closed-door meeting, which lasted more than half an hour, the two men went to the Directorate General of Passports where they were welcomed by the Director, the lawyer Iris Guaba.

The visit of Claude Raymond Junior intervenes to seven days from the deadline for registration of National Plan for the Regularization of Foreigners (PNRE), living in an irregular migratory situation in the Dominican Republic.

So far, nothing has been officially revealed about what was discussed between the two leaders. The Dominican Directorate of Immigration was limited to say they discussed "issues of interest to both institutions."

Some rumors or speculation by journalists, suggest that at this meeting, Raymond Junior would have asked to extend the registration deadline to the PNRE, which expires June 17, 2015.
