As part of the emergency identification program, from 8th to 16th June, more than 7,000 compatriots, who had made requests for identification documents, never issued by Haiti, obtained from the Embassy a receipt of dentification enabling them to enroll in the National Plan for the Regularization of Foreigners (PNRE), which ended Wednesday, June 17 at midnight.

If the Ambassador of Haiti to the Dominican Republic, Daniel Supplice, welcomes the exemplary performance of consular services in the Dominican Republic and he describes this operation as successful, he should not forget that this operation while having allowed the registration of thousands of our compatriots, do not replace the identification documents required by the PNRE. The consular services have 45 days from June 17, to issuing identity documents to our compatriots... Otherwise it will be a failure assured to these applicants, in reprieve of the Haitian administration...
