The Office of Gérald Oriol Jr., Secretary of State for the Integration of Persons with Disabilities (BSEIPH) and Christian Blind Mission (CBM) in partnership with: the Ministry of National Education, the Project of "Strengthening of the Legal Framework for People with Disabilities in Haiti" and the Organization of American States (OAS) are organizing the 1stsymposium on the education of deaf children in Haiti (Wednesday 15 and Thursday, July 16, 2015 at the Hotel Royal Oasis).

This symposium aims to share reflections about the barriers limiting the schooling of children and young deaf people, in accordance with the wishes of the international and Haitian law guaranteeing the rights of people with special needs.
