iciHaiti - Environment : Haiti takes care of the ozone layer

Tuesday, the Ministry of Environment proceeded to the distribution of equipment and products to protect the ozone layer and improve environmental conditions in response to climate change to : the General Administration of Customs, Centres techniques Haïti Tec, APEX and SOS Village.

This activity is part of strengthening national capacities in the field of refrigeration and air conditioning and is a significant step in the national response to the regeneration of the ozone layer, to the mitigation of effects of climate change and the orderly transition to green technologies therefore harmless to the ozone and climate.

144 refrigeration technicians were trained "on good practices in the management of the cold" and 50 others received equipment sets and appropriate tools. 110 customs officers also received high-level training on the "Harmonise system of labeling and identification of refrigerants."
