Thursday at the UN, at the meeting of international partners Friends of Haiti, Rafael Ramirez, the Permanent Representative of Venezuela to the United Nations, reaffirmed the commitment of Venezuela to the Haitian people, to provide electoral assistance to the forthcoming legislative elections of 9 August "The Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela reaffirms its commitment to the future of the Haitian people. Venezuela and Haiti have deep historical ties, political and cultural," declared the Venezuelan diplomat.
