Haiti - Politic : Zero tolerance in the fight against corruption

The President Martelly has passed strict instructions to Rodiny Jean-Baptiste, Director General of the Unit for Combating Corruption (ULCC), to implement a zero-tolerance policy against government's corrupt officials and others involved in financial crimes and other acts of corruption.

Rodiny Jean-Baptiste confirmed "I received very clear instructions of President Martelly to investigate and to ensure that legal proceedings are taken against any official who would be involved in corrupt practices," adding that the Head of State had told him "not to hesitate to take action, even if it was the one involved in corruption."
