iciHaiti - Sports : Grant of 100 million gourdes for the Haitian Football
Jimmy Albert, the Minister of Youth, Sports and Civic Action, Wilson Laleau, the Minister of Economy and Finance and Yves Jean-Bart the President of the Haitian Football Federation (FHF) signed this week a memorandum of agreement for a grant of 100 million gourdes to the benefit of the Haitian football.

An envelope of 40 million gourdes will be used in the preparation of the Haitian selection and a budget of 10 million gourdes will be allocated for the development of sports infrastructure and the construction of 50 sports academies. In addition, during the next 12 months, an amount of 800,000 gourdes will be available to men's clubs of First Division (200,000 gourdes for women's clubs) and 500,000 gourdes for men's clubs of 2nd division (100,000 Gde for women's clubs)

To benefit from these subsidies, clubs must submit their articles of association, be affiliated with the local federation, have a bank account, a tax identification number and an elected Steering Committee, uncontested.

The Minister Laleau tressed the importance of sport for the economic development of the country and said he wanted at all costs to help improve the discipline, announcing that soon. Another agreement will be signed with the Haitian Olympic Committee for other sports federations in Haiti.
