Florence Duperval Guillaume, Minister of Public Health and Population (MSPP) and the international firm MACRO, have signed a memorandum of understanding with partners including Canada, the United States Agency for International Development (USAID ), IHE (Integrating the Healthcare Enterprise) and others for the implementation of a national Survey on Mortality, Morbidity and Use of Services (EMMUS-VI). The that survey which will start the month of December will be carried out by the Haitian Children's Institute.

A budget of $5.8 million will be mobilized for this study, the first results will be published in 12 months.
