On Friday, the Prime Minister, Evans Paul, met with interim executive Agents of the metropolitan area, to find punctual and structural solutions to the problem of solid waste management in municipalities surrounding Port-au-Prince.

On instruction of the Head of Government, two complementary plans will be implemented taking into account the typology of solid waste, biomedical, liquid and gaseous.

As part of these work-intensive workforces supported by a wide awareness campaign, the Prime Minister urged the holders of municipalities in the metropolitan area (Trottier and Mariani) to proceed to the identification, adoption, improvement and the necessary movement of municipal landfills.
