iciHaiti - Economy : Priority sector for socio-economic transformation of Haiti

The Haiti BPO Sector Global Launch will be held December 15, 2015 at the Marriott Hotel in Port-au-Prince. This event organized in partnership with the Inter American Development Bank (IDB), falls within the framework of the efforts of the Investment Facilitation Center (CFI) to establish Haiti as the first trilingual destination "Nearshore" of the Caribbean. The CFI will use this opportunity to o launch with the Avasant Foundation its program "Employment : Digital Youth" which aims to train Haitian youth to develop the skills needed for better positioning the country in the BPO sector.
The Haitian government has identified outsourcing services or Business Process Outsourcing BPO), as one of the priority sectors for socio-economic transformation of Haiti. The availability of labor, multilingual skills, geographical position of the country and the competitive costs, makes of Haiti the destination "Nearshore" of the next generation for global BPO companies.
