In his remarks the Minister of Tourism declared "I welcome this agreement enshrining the arrival of Marriott in the second city of the country"

Recall that it was in a press release of 16 November that Mariott International confirmed that "The famous Autograph Collection of Marriott Group, exclusive portfolio of properties of Marriott International to celebrate the individuality, will add the Habitation Jouissantm hotel located in Cap-Haitien, to its impressive global portfolio during the fourth quarter of 2017."

With the work of transformation that will soon be started, the Habitation Jouissant will undergo a complete overhaul to include the addition of 87 rooms, bringing the guestroom total to 100 rooms with the property's 13 already established suites. Once completed, the hotel will feature a new presidential suite, two restaurants, two pools, a fitness center and meeting rooms – all marked with one-of-a kind programs and amenities that follow Autograph Collection's renowned tradition of providing experiences that are Exactly Like Nothing Else.
