Stéphanie Villedrouin, the Minister of Tourism and Creative Industries, accompanied by her Director General Maryse Noël and Head of the Promotion Department of the Ministry, visited with William Pitts, Director of "North Coast Development", the SISALCO factory in Phaéton (North), whose the plantation produces 900 tons of sisal year.

As a reminder, the she sisal fiber is extracted from the plant of the same name (family Avagaceae), very resistant, this fiber is used to make amon other ropes but also coarse fabrics, hats, mats and other articles of the Haitian handicrafts, highly sought after by tourists.

During his tour, the Minister Villedrouin took the opportunity also to go along the coast which must receive very soon the next tourism project of the zone.
