"The Uruguayan Senate approved a bill that extends until December 31, 2016, the presence in Haiti, of 250 members of the Armed Forces in the nited Nations Stabilization Mission in Haiti (MINUSTAH)," have indicated official sources which states "After being approved by the House of Representatives of Uruguay, the bill will be sent to the Executive for promulgation."

Recall that the Uruguayan contingent, which has been in Haiti since 2004, has declined significantly in recent years and has only currently a staff of about 250 members.
