iciHaiti - Elections : «There is no evidence of massive fraud» dixit Mario Dupuy
Monday, Mario Dupuy, the Minister of Communication spoke in a series of interventions on the radios of the capital and at a press conference about the electoral situation and the report of the Independent Electoral Commission of Evaluation https://www.haitilibre.com/en/news-16231-haiti-elections-the-recommendations-of-the-commission-of-electoral-evaluation.html , stating that "the Government will continue to assume its responsibilities by creating the conditions for the continuation of the electoral process. One of the priorities of the day is also to work for the establishment of the Permanent Electoral Council [...]"

Regarding the allegations of fraud in the elections on October 25 he indicated "Public action is set in motion following public accusations of corruption. Summoned, the main accuser did not show up. There is no trace massive fraud as would have us believe certain sectors.

National and international observation missions found no trace of massive fraud. Massive fraud allegations do not hold; the independent commission recommended the continuation of the process. The commission is independent and worked independently, stating that there are corrections to be made at structural level.

The Minister also said that "every actor in the process should take into account the recommendations of the Independent Electoral Commission of Evaluation, specifying that we need a better system of recruitment system of members of polling stations to avoid certain technical and structural irregularities.

"Politics is necessary. But Haiti can not be essentially a political country. In 2050, we will be close to 16 million. The good politics will helps to develop patriotism among every Haitian !"he concluded.
