iciHaiti - Humanitarian : Food Assistance Agreement of $4M with Japan

Wednesday a grant agreement on food assistance, was signed between the Japanese Government, represented by the Charge d'Affaires of Japan in Haiti, Ambassador Yoshiaki Hatta and the Haitian Government represented by Chancellor Lener Renauld.

This food donation agreement (KR 2015), amounting to $4 million is intended for the purchase rice to be sold at a preferential rate to help reduce food insecurity in Haiti.

After the ceremony, the two sides exchanged views on possible problems that may arise in connection with the implementation of this agreement.
