The garment sector in Haiti has 34 factories working only for export and employ more than 40,000 people to date. This sector of national life also generates nearly 200,000 indirect jobs. It is also the sector working with more transparency for the salary issue as it is continually audited by the "Better Work" program, according to the prescribed of the HOPE Act.

The extension of the HOPE Act until 2025 https://www.haitilibre.com/en/news-14175-haiti-economy-good-news-the-extension-help-hope-definitively-passed-in-the-usa.html gives hope to the sector whose main challenge is to find space to deal with the many requests for foreign entrepreneurs wishing to enjoy the benefits of the HOPE Act and its proximity to North America.
