iciHaiti - Security : 235 arrests in South of the country

In a press briefing-balance for June, Agent 1 Guerline Dimanche, Spokesman of the Departmental Directorate South of the National Police of Haiti (PNH) revealed that the police had in several operations proceeded to the arrest of 235 people including 149 flagrant offenses and 86 arrests on mandate.
Among the offenses he cited 9 cases of death threats, 38 theft and one armed robbery, 68 act of violence, 13 attempted murders, 6 for drug trafficking, 4 for illegal possession of firearms and 4 for rape.
In addition, he said that 26 road accidents were reported in June, which caused loss of 3 lives and 46 injured.
