iciHaiti - Economy : The Dominican private sector dialogue with Haiti

The past week, the Dominican private sector held talks and meetings with Haiti in order to reach an agreement to end the ban by land of Dominican products https://www.haitilibre.com/en/news-15156-haiti-notice-import-ban-by-road-of-certain-products-from-dr.html , informed Alvaro Sousa, president of the Dominican Association of Exporters (ADOEXPO).
He indicated that negotiations are continuing and that in those moments it seeks to find a favorable solution for both Nations.
Stating that the ban on the Dominican Republic has lead to an increased of export costs to Haiti and a significant reduction of competitiveness with other markets.
