On Saturday, President de facto Jocelerme Privert, accompanied by Prime Minister Enex Jean-Charles and of members of the ministerial cabinet, went to the National Emergency Operations Centre (COUN) in Delmas 2.

Annick François Joseph, Minister of Interior and Territorial Communities and Ronald Semelfort, the Director of the National Centre of Meteorology, took the opportunity to present to the Head of State and the various authorities a document relating to the formation, the trajectory and threats of Hurricane Mattew, category 4.

Given the importance of the danger of Matthew, the Head of State is committed to take the necessary steps to instruct directly relevant bodies to prepare accordingly while activating the alert system and come in assistance to the affected population.
