Thursday, the Spokesperson of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Development of France declared "

France has decided to donate immediately following the call for humanitarian aid launched by Haitian authorities after the passage of the hurricane Matthew that struck the south-western tip of Haiti on October 4.

The Crisis Centre and support of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs coordinates the French humanitarian and provides the Haitian authorities its expertise in aerial reconnaissance and assessment of needs.

As part of the partnership of the Ministry with Airbus Helicopters Foundation, two helicopters will carry out reconnaissance missions to assess the damage. Two French officers of civil protection are also integrated into the European assessment mission.

France expresses its entire solidarity with the Government and people of Haiti in this event."
