iciHaiti - Elections : Privert takes note of preliminary results

Tuesday, de facto President Jocelerme Privert, took note of the publication on Monday https://www.haitilibre.com/en/news-19370-haiti-flash-preliminary-results-1st-round-elections-20-november-2016.html of the preliminary results of the first round of presidential elections of 20 November and stressed the importance of the step taken towards the political and institutional stabilization of Haiti
The Head of State recalled the importance of other ongoing processes and expected, like the rest of the population, the preliminary results of the parliamentary elections (25 deputies and 16 senators) scheduled for 1 or 2 December 2016.
He urges candidates and political parties to follow the path set out in the Electoral Decree in order to maintain a calm and serene climate throughout the country necessary to the safeguard the Peace and political stability and once again congratulates the Provisional Electoral Council (CEP) ), the Haitian National Police (PNH), the Government, the political parties, the candidates and the Haitian people, whose assistance and participation were decisive for the success of the election day on 20 November.
