Haiti - Economy : Haitian woman wins the Female Exporter of the Year Award 2016 17/12/2016 09:55:02
At the 2nd Edition of the Caribbean Exporters of the Year Adwards at the Hilton Barbados Resort in Bridgetown, the Caribbean Export Development Agency recently awarded the Female Exporter of the Year Award 2016 to the Haitian Yve-Car Momperousse for her company "Kreyòl Essence". This Haitian company manufactures products for hair, skin and aromatherapy, including exotic oils, ointments and therapeutic candles. Launched officially in 2013, the company "Kreyòl Essence" employs about forty women who work in the production plant in Fontamara. In total, the company provides employment to about 70 people, mainly women, throughout the country. The "palma-christi" also known as carapate oil or black castor oil used by the company, comes from different regions of Haiti, including the Central Plateau and the South. S/ iciHaiti
