iciHaiti - Culture : Visit to the BNE Ethnographic Museum

Thursday Ms Lorraine Mangonès, Director of FOKAL, accompanied by a large delegation from the Open Society Foundations (OSF), visited the Ethnographic Museum of the National Bureau of Ethnology (BNE). The OSF https://www.haitilibre.com/en/news-19963-haiti-education-call-for-applications-open-society-foundations-scholarship.html is a network of foundations established since 1979 in the United States which works with in collaboration with the FOKAL. Its objective is to promote democratic governance, human rights and economic, social and legal reforms.
In addition, the BNE announces to the public in general, the closing of the traveling exhibition "Devotional costumes: For an anthropology of clothing in Haiti" https://www.icihaiti.com/en/news-19314-haiti-culture-vernissage-of-the-exhibition-on-haitian-devotional-costumes.html an exhibition that lasted 3 months on an aspect of the Haitian culture. The BNE would like to thank all those who contributed to the success of this exhibition and all the countless visitors for their support and encouragement.
