iciHaiti - Petit-Goâve : New Medical Director at the Notre-Dame Hospital

Former Medical Director of the Notre-Dame Hospital in Petit-Goâve, Dr. Martial Bénêche become the new Director of the West Sanitary Directorate (DSO) since 13 April, proceeded this week, in the presence of the Deputy Germain Alexandre Fils, of members of the administrative and care staff and Civil Society, at the installation of his successor, Dr. Ernso Charléus as Medical Director of Notre-Dame Hospital "Dr. Charléus, I give you the direction of the hospital and I hope that you will continue the work started," said the outgoing Director.

In his remarks for the occasion, Dr. Charléus promised to follow in the footsteps of his predecessor and sustain change while innovating. Emphasizing that his dministration will focus inter alia on : Continuity; Strengthening of achievements; Innovation; Order and discipline; Collaboration ; Quality care for all; The availability of medicines and the reduction of their cost and the improvement of the health of the population...

In addition, he said he was determined to fight two outbreaks immediately: beaks (bòkyè) and conjunctivites (azoumounou) that are currently affecting some members of the population of Petit-Goâve. He asked people with one of these illnesses to come to the hospital promptly to receive the necessary care.
