On Friday in Jacmel (southeast of Haiti), Minister of Tourism Jessy Menos, accompanied by First Lady Martine Moïse, inaugurated the new Carnival Interpretation Center of Jacmel (CICAJ).

The ceremony took place in the presence of the Spanish Ambassador Manuel Lorenzo, the General Coordinator of Spanish Cooperation, Carmen Rodriguez Arce, the UNESCO Representative and local authorities.

Jacmel Carnival Interpretation Center, initiated under the Martelly Government and financed by UNESCO, Spanish Cooperation and the Haitian State, aims to archive, interpret and popularize the history of the Carnival of Jacmel. This center is now a pole of attraction for the destination Jacmel.
