iciHaiti - Economy : DR wants to triple its exports to Haiti

Miguel Vargas Maldonado, the Foreign Minister said that the Dominican Republic could triple the level of its current exports with Haiti.
Vargas Maldonado said that the Dominican authorities are making great efforts to have good relations with Haiti and that we should not only see the difficulties but also the opportunities that arise because trade is progressing, declaring "I am certain that, at the level of trade, we will triple the amount of export that we currently have with Haiti, which will benefit the domestic producers and the Haitian citizens who will have in this way less expensive products."
