iciHaiti - Social : International Day of Peace

This Thursday, September 21, on the occasion of the International Day of Peace, the Haitian Movement for Peace, MHP, wishes all Haitians a day of Peace. "May it be an opportunity for us to meditate on the sources, benefits and means of personal and collective peace."
Jean Elie Larrieux, President of the MHP declares in a press release "[...] The Haitian nation faces difficult times in terms of widespread unemployment, ecological insecurity, food insecurity, lack of primary health care, weak quality education for all at all levels, collective vulnerability. Many young people are fleeing the country en masse in the hope of better living conditions.
This day is an opportunity for reflection to build a world of peace, based on equity, justice and social solidarity where everyone should find a new reason to hope and believe in better tomorrows. This is an approcach of collective interest of confidence building that underpins the legitimacy of public policies that promote well-being for all and social peace [...]"
