imond Toussaint, the Minister of Culture is saddened by the departure for the Hereafter, on January 8, 2018 in Queens (USA), of the legendary Haitian alto saxophonist, Gerard Daniel aka "The Prefect of Brooklyn", well known to New York that made its mark in the late 60s and early 70s.
"The Minister Toussaint takes the opportunity to congratulate and thank the extraordinary talent of the Haitian saxophonist who has marked his generation,whether in Mini All Stars or his Djet-X Group, leaving to posterity a highly remarkable musical legacy.
To the parents of Gérard Daniel, his fellow musicians, the cultural sector to all the music lovers affected by his disappearance, the Ministry sends his most sincere sympathies."
