Thursday, the Communal Administration of Port-au-Prince, while greeting all the DJs who took part in the first Sunday (14 January) of pre-carnival activities revealed the results of this first day during which 5 wounded were reported. Moreover, the DJ Steezy was punished with a fine of 50,000 gourdes for having made unhealthy and irreverent remarks... The mayor wishes to remind that any DJ violating the rules defined in advance will be sanctioned and possibly banned.

The Communal Administration of Port-au-Prince reiterates its commitment to ensure the smooth running of pre-carnival activities and reminds: that unauthorized vehicles can not circulate on the course as well as street vendors with mobile containers and that the carrying of firearms is strictly prohibited, except for the Haitian National Police (PNH) agents duly identified and in service.
