Beware of false news, unlike some news circulating on Haitian social media, no American soldier was sent to Haiti
Pentagon's denial message :
« We are aware of the ongoing demonstrations in Haiti and urge a calm and peaceful resolution. At this time, there has been no request for Department of Defense (DoD) assistance.
The photos and videos posted on Haitian social media and WhatsApp of US military personnel landing are from previous US support to Hurricane Matthew in 2016 and Hurricanes Irma and Maria in 2017.. »
