iciHaiti - Quebec : Granby donates a fire truck to Carrefour
As part of the Twinning and Cooperation Protocol between the City of Granby, Quebec and the Carrefour Commune in Haiti https://www.icihaiti.com/en/news-21298-icihaiti-quebec-twinning-signature-granby-carrefour.html Granby donated a fire truck and handed the keys officially to members of the Haitian delegation

The Haitian delegation is composed of Jude Édouard Pierre mayor of the Commune of Carrefour in Haiti, accompanied by Kerby Théodore Kerby Théodore Acting Head of the Fire Department of Carrefour and Mrs. Manoucheka Verdynée of the Civil Protection, was in Granby for the official signature of this transfer.

"This gesture is part of the actions that the City of Granby has undertaken to implement through the Twinning and Cooperation Protocol. This fire truck no longer meets the requirements of the Quebec Fire Inspectors' Inspection Service, but will be of great benefit to Carrefour," said Pascal Bonin, Mayor of Granby.

During their stay, the Haitian delegation visited the Roland Thibault technical landfill site, as well as the Ecocentre in Granby. In addition, the delegation took the opportunity to finalize, in collaboration with the Granby Fire Department, the preparation of a training mission to be held in a few weeks. Two officers from the Granby Fire Department will travel to Haiti to train the fire department of the Carrefour Commune and to assess the needs of the on-site service.
