iciHaiti - Tennis : Naomi Osaka injured, forfeit in the semi-finals of the Stuttgart Tournament

Haitian-born Japanese Naomi Osaka (21), the world's leading tennis player, was forced to forfeit at the semi-finals of Stuttgart Tournament, Germany, she had to play Saturday against Estonian Anett Kontaveit (15th in the world), because of a contracture abdominal left side "I woke up this morning and I could not lift the top of my body [...] it's something I've had in the past. I know exactly what it is like injury and what to do to treat me," explained Naomi disappointed.

Let's note that Naomi who had difficulty qualifying Friday in the quarter-finals by defeating on the clay Croatian Donna Vekic in three sets [6-4, 4-6, 7-6] is however assured, despite this forfeit to keep her place of world number 1 at the end of the tournament. Osaka will stay in Europe for some time to do exams and heal.
