Eddy Jackson Alexis, Secretary of State for Communication deplores and condemns the incidents recorded earlier this week in the department of Nippes respectively in Petite Rivière de Nippes and Anse-à-Veau, Monday, July 1, 2019, during which members of the civilian population and a national police officer were cowardly killed.

While presenting his sympathies to the victims, their relatives and the general public, he informed that instructions had been clearly given to the constituted authorities to determine the circumstances of such a tragedy.

Eddy Jackson Alexis takes the opportunity to ask the public to avoid any excess by expressing his legitimate claims on the public road, without harming the life and the rule of law.

He takes advantage of these unfortunate events to invite political authorities, public officials and any citizen who owns firearms not to give in to the provocations of excited protesters who may lead to incidents with painful consequences.
