Médecins Sans Frontières (MSF) reveals on its website that from June 9 to 25, 2019, the doctors of the Martissant Center, treated 49 patients wounded by bullet, 9 of whom had fatal wounds.

For the first 3 months of the year, MSF claims to have treated 237 gunshot wounds at the Emergency Center in Martissant, twice as many cases registered as in 2018 for the same period.

The international NGO is worried about the situation, noting that after the lack of funding, there is now added insecurity that has "a direct impact on health care" in Haiti.
