iciHaiti - Washington : Inauguration of the art exhibition «Diaspora Expressions Expo»
On August 2, 2019, the Embassy of Haiti in Washington, DC officially launched its newest art exhibit called the "Diaspora Expressions Expo". The initiative is part of the Embassy’s larger mission to engage the Diaspora in the conversations around Haiti most specifically in the cultural promotion efforts of the country.

The event was a tremendous success exceeding targets for attendance with over 400 guests along with publicity for the artists from attended press, such as the Washington Post, the Washington Informer, Washington City Paper and many more...

The evening began with a private viewing of the collection and a guided tour conducted by Ambassador Hervé H. Denis and the participating artists. Some of the special guests included Ambassadors and Alternates from the Embassies of Cameroon, Canada, Republic of Congo, the Republic of Togo, El Salvador, the Dominican Republic, Barbados, the Republic of the Union of Myanmar...

Other high profiles included former U.S. Ambassador to Haiti, Mr. William Jones, Principal Deputy Assistant Secretary Kenneth Merten from the Department of State and Mr. Alfred Metellus, Counselor for the Office of Argentina and Haiti from the Inter-American Development Bank (IDB), Commander Michael Bennett and many more.

Later that evening, the Embassy welcomed the Diaspora and the community at large to launch the initiative. Guests included longtime supporters of the Embassy, art collectors, educators and university students, millennials, press, members from the private and non-profit sector.
