iciHaiti - Health : U.S Hospital Ship mission to Haiti under High-security
The Ministry of the Interior informs the general public that the USNS Comfort US-flagged hospital ship and two United States Coast Guard vessels, USCGC Kathleen Moore (WPC-1109) and USCGC Margaret Norvell (WPC-1105) will be in Port-au-Prince in the next 72 hours as part of a humanitarian medical assistance mission to Haiti from 4 to 13 November 2019.

The Government instructed the local authorities and made arrangements with the National Port Authority and the Maritime and Navigation Service of Haiti and the Haitian Coast Guard, among others, to accompany this operation of humanitarian medical assistance intended to provide a variety of medical services https://www.haitilibre.com/en/news-29145-haiti-health-mission-in-haiti-of-the-hospital-ship-of-the-united-states-navy.html

In addition, the land and air vehicles used in this operation will be secured by units of the National Police of Haiti (PNH) jointly with USCGC members Kathleen Moore and USCGC Margaret Norvell.

The Ministry is calling for the cooperation of everyone to ensure the smooth running of this mission. In conjunction with the other bodies concerned, the Ministry will gradually inform the population of the schedule of activities of these humanitarian services and the modalities of access, in order to allow the population to benefit as much as possible from the equipment and health care that will be provided to them.
