Friday on the sidelines of a meeting with officials of the Dominican Central Bank, in Santo Domingo, Alejandro Werner, President of the International Monetary Fund (IMF) in the Western Hemisphere, said that the IMF was ready to renegotiate in the framework of Article IV of the IMF with Haiti [Haiti's $229 million loan application, signed in March 2019 and jeopardized a blockage of Parliament] https://www.haitilibre.com/en/news-27124-haiti-flash-the-government-will-borrow-$229m-from-the-imf.html , as soon as the socio-political situation will be back to normal, while underlining that the request of Haiti will have to be recalibrated according to current situation," concluding "We are ready when they are ready..."
