iciHaiti - Music : «Follow Jah» start the year with a double challenge
The Pétion-ville « Follow Jah » walking band begins the year with a double challenge. Invited as every year to the International Jazz Festival of Port-au-Prince, from January 18 to 25 https://www.haitilibre.com/en/news-29763-haiti-papjazz-2020-an-exceptional-poster-8-days-of-celebration.html , the group must also respond to the same dates at the invitation of the "Festival Santiago a Mil" (Chile).

Note that the Santiago a Mil Festival is one of the main performing arts festivals in Latin America, which takes place every year in January in the capital and other cities of Chile.

Follow Jah will have to carry out workshops with Chilean musicians to integrate them into two parades which will take place in the town of Recoleta, on Saturday 25 and Sunday 26 January, at the end of the Festival. It will be the first time that the group will play on the American continent, after having made tours in Europe https://www.haitilibre.com/en/news-24698-haiti-culture-2nd-european-tour-of-the-walking-band-follow-jah.html and in the Caribbean https://www.icihaiti.com/en/news-19443-icihaiti-guadeloupe-follow-jah-under-the-spotlights-at-the-ilojazz-festival.html .

At the same time, another part of the group, which has a total of more than twenty musicians, will play every evening as part of the Port-au-Prince International Jazz Festival, to animate the intermissions of the evenings at the Karibe hotel and at Quisqueya University.

It should be noted that the Follow Jah walking band benefited from the support of the Ministry of Culture to honor the invitation of the "Santiago a Mil" festival.
