iciHaiti - Coronavirus : Toussaint Louverture International Airport under surveillance
Epidemiological surveillance measures for the detection of the Chinese Coronavirus (2019-nCoV) intended to avoid the introduction of the virus on the national territory, are being implemented in particular at the Toussaint Louverture International Airport in Port-au-Prince.

"Executives from the Ministry of Health assess the medical staff at the airport, train immigration officials, the police and members of the reception service of the institution" explained Dr Patrick Delly, Director of Epidemiology, Laboratory and Research of the Ministry of Public Health and Population (MSPP)

"Apparatus for testing the temperature of passengers from abroad will be installed. The awareness messages will soon be visible on the various screens in the departure and arrival halls of Port-au-Prince airport," confirmed Dr. Delly, who deplored the slow implementation of the measures announced in due to administrative procedures.
