Very early Tuesday morning, Divisional Inspector Angelo Verrier, in charge of operations at the Commissariat of the commune of Carrefour, while on his way to Port-au-Prince, was shot dead while driving his vehicle at the level of Fontamara 43, by unidentified individuals riding a red motorcycle before fleeing.

However, a few minutes after their crime, one of the alleged killers was shot dead at Martissant 23, by a member of the population according to a police source. The alleged assassin had 2 firearms in his possession.
