This Friday, April 30, Haiti will celebrate the 10th International Jazz Day at the Quartier Latin Brasserie at 8:00 p.m. On the program, performances by Rasin Mwen, Alexa, Joël & Mushy Widmaier feat. Amazan Audoine which will be followed by a Big Jam with a host of artists who will follow one another for unique improvisations. For Joël Widmaier, "celebrating this day in Haiti is a new opportunity for young jazzmen to express their talent and show the world that Haiti holds high this form of musical expression." The Haiti Jazz Foundation also believes, like UNESCO, "in the power of Jazz as a force for peace, dialogue and mutual understanding".

And to bring together jazz fans from all over the world, this evening will be broadcast live on the Facebook page of the Haiti Jazz Foundation, Jacmel Jazz Festival, D'Music, Chokarella and also on the Foundation's YouTube channel. Haiti Jazz and will be hosted by Bibinetalkole.

The Haiti Jazz Foundation will take the opportunity to screen its documentary "Kreol Jazz Project" produced with the support of the Swiss Embassy on the occasion of the 15th edition of PAPJazz in January 2021.

The Haiti Jazz Foundation is committed to respecting barrier measures, wearing the required mask on entry, distribution of hydroalcoholic gels, distribution of masks and disinfection of stage equipment.
