The International Organization for Migration, (IOM - Haiti) in support of the Directorate of Immigration and Emigration of Haiti (DIE) announces that the MIDAS system is now operational at the Belladère border post.

Remember that MIDAS makes it possible to collect and analyze migration data in real time for better management of entry points. Thanks to the support of the "U.S. Department of State : Bureau of Population, Refugees, and Migration"

Trainings on the system have been carried out for the Inspectors who operate the system, who claim that this IT tool will facilitate their work.

"With MIDAS, inspectors will be more efficient, and the computerization of data will increase confidentiality" argued Montas Jean-Baptiste, Inspector.

"The MIDAS System will facilitate the collection, classification and analysis of data" Chasma Faunette, Inspector.

Dumezil Pierre Jacque, responsible for the DIE in Belladère, declared "This is the System we were waiting for! It will allow us to better understand, better secure and better work, while controlling the flow of passengers more effectively."
