Frantz Elbé, the Director General ai of the National Police of Haiti (PNH), accompanied by members of the high command of the National Police of Haiti, held on March 8, an important meeting with American officials, including among others Mrs. Anne Witkowsky, Deputy Assistant Secretary of State of the United States, Kenneth H. Merten, U.S. Chargé d'affaires in Haiti, and Jennifer Mergy, Director of the "International Narcotics and Law Enforcement Affairs" (INL) Office.

This meeting was an opportunity for Frantz Elbé and the high command to present the various PNH entities and structures as well as the efforts already made to continue to fight against insecurity in the country, particularly in the metropolitan area of ​​Port-au-Prince.

The American delegation also placed emphasis on the mobilization of the common multi-donor fund through international institutions, partners of the PNH (fund announced on February 18 at the UN https://www.haitilibre.com/en/news-35996-haiti-un-report-on-the-situation-in-haiti-before-the-security-council.html ) aimed at contributing to the strengthening of the operational capacity of the Police in order to carry out its mission.
