The National Ambulance Center (CAN) has sent us its statistical report relating to the pre-hospital care of the various emergency cases carried out during the month of February 2022.

Of the 969 cases handled by the CAN in February 2022 (+28.17% compared to the previous month https://www.icihaiti.com/en/news-35957-icihaiti-health-report-of-the-national-ambulance-center-january-2022.html ), 33% were transfers, 18% obstetrical emergencies and 14% miscellaneous conditions.

The CAN intervened in :

65 cases of respiratory distress (not associated with Covid-19);

38 cases of chronic diseases (various pathologies);

179 obstetric emergencies;

320 transfers (references and laboratory tests);

134 various conditions (malaise, diarrhea, fever, anemia, abdominal pain, etc...)

In addition, the CAN intervened in 49 road accidents, 8 gunshot wounds, 59 stab wounds, 70 traumas (injuries and fractures of varying degrees), 8 cases of burns, as well as 5 cases of confirmed Covid-19 and 12 suspected cases.

Of the 969 cases handled by the CAN : 509 interventions took place in the West, 112 in the Artibonite, 26 in the South, 57 in the North-West, 171 in the South-East, 59 in the North /North-East, 12 in Grand'Anse, 23 in Nippes and 0 in the Center.
