Friday, June 24, around 10:15 p.m., following intelligence work, agents of the Departmental Unit for the Maintenance of Order (UDMO) of the North-West intercepted on the Ti Bois-d'homme road section, 4 individuals in a white Nissan pick-up... with no license plate. After the search of the vehicle, 7kg of cocaine were discovered.

The four individuals : Sandley Silien, Saintaman Jackson, Blanc Henry Claude and Johnny Fertijuste were charged with drug trafficking. The UDMO of Artibonite police officers quickly joined their colleagues to secure the scene and take charge of these individuals since the offense was committed in their jurisdiction.

Informed of the arrests and the seizure of drugs, the North-West Departmental Directorate contacted the Office for the Fight against Drug Trafficking (BLTS), as well as the Government Commissioner of Port-de-Paix who joined shortly after midnight the UDMO teams remained on standby with their prisoners and drugs.

For the moment, these individuals are placed in police custody pending legal action.
